I witnessed Cinna the poets death with my own two eyes on The Ides of March. There was an angry mob of Romans marching around looking for the people responsible for the assassination when they came across the poet with the name Cinna; Cinna also being one of the assassins' name. They talked for a while and then the mob randomly had a burst of violence against Cinna thinking he was one of the conspirators. When Cinna told mob that he was Cinna the poet and he was going to mourn Caesar's death they continued to beat on him saying that he should die because he isn't a good poet and he has the same name as the conspirator. This is not fair nor is it right what they did to Cinna, killing him because he happens to have the same name as someone who helped in the assassination. The mob just walked away after they killed him.

Blog Assignment numero dos
Friday, June 21st
Today I, Brutus went to a very important race with my good friend Julius Caesar. While there Caesar was offered the crown AGAIN! I love Caesar and all but I think this is hardly fair to neither Rome's ruler nor the City of Rome. Rome doesn't need a ruler like Caesar, he would be ruining a beautiful thing! I could very well be a much better leader than Caesar. He will only mean to do well but that's not what will come of it, Caesar will unknowingly kill the beautiful city of Rome. Caesar is my best friend and I will support him no matter what, until I think Rome is at risk and then I will do what I must to ensure Rome doesn't crumble under the foot of Caesar. I love Caesar and all but Mark Antony deserves the crown much more than him, I'm sad to say. I wish I could accept Caesar as being the leader of Rome but he's becoming too powerful, and I'm afraid of what will come if he becomes the ruler of our wonderful city. I love Caesar but I love Rome more than I can ever love him. We will see what comes of this, until next time

First Assignment!!!!!
About the Author
I am in the middle of a book called the Giver by Lois Lowry. She has written
many other books though; 34 other books to be exact. She won a Newbery Medea. She was born in Oahu, Hawaii, United States on M
arch 20 1937.
Plot of my Book
My book is about a Utopian society, in which everyone's birthday on the same day, people have their jobs assigned to them based on what kind of things they like to do. If you do anything bad or against the rules three times you are taken out of the society. The main character, Jonas, gets the job of the giver. The giver is in charge of all the memories in this Utopia. He has to go through a long process of memories being transfered into his mind by the current giver. This process is also very painful depending on the memory. He has to deal with both sad and painful memories, to happy and wonderful ones.
Setting of the Book
I would say the book takes place in present time. I say this because nobody uses very old words from th 50's and no one uses odd words like groovy from the 70's so I think this book takes place in modern day. I think the place is the United States because everyone spoke English but didn't use odd British words. The atmosphere so far in the story is happy and normal.
Character Description
I would say the main character is for the most part happy and calm. I would say this because he doesn't seem like he's angry or sad and he isn't hyper or depressed so that's why I would why I would think he's happy and calm.
Review For the Giver
My book so far is semi-enjoyable; it's definitely not my favorite book but it is not my least favorite either. I wouldn't say the book is terrible but I wouldn't call it good. I dislike how slowly the plot moves and I like the fact that it's an easy read. I think this book is very mediocre and I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
